Severance Season 2 Review: More Twists, More Trauma, and Even Fewer Office Perks

Severance Season 2 has come and gone, and if you were expecting answers to all the questions left hanging at the end of Season 1—well, think again. Instead, we get more mystery, more paranoia, and more Adam Scott looking mildly terrified at all times. The show picks up right where we left off, with Mark, Helly, Irving, and Dylan in various states of panic as their work and outside lives collide.

This season expands the world of Lumon Industries in some deeply unsettling ways. There are new characters, new horrors, and just enough cryptic messaging to keep Reddit conspiracy threads thriving for years. The eerie, sterile office aesthetic remains as suffocating as ever, and every time someone mentions Kier Eagan, you just know something awful is about to happen.

The pacing is as deliberate as ever—meaning if you were screaming at your TV in frustration last season, get ready to do it all over again. But the slow burn is part of Severance’s genius. Every small detail feels like it matters, every lingering shot makes you question your own reality. This season leans even harder into the existential dread, raising questions about identity, free will, and whether corporate wellness programs are just elaborate forms of mind control.

For those wondering where they can watch, Severance Season 2 is streaming exclusively on Apple TV+, so if you haven’t already signed up, now is the perfect time to start that free trial you’ll absolutely forget to cancel. Season 1 is also available for a rewatch, which is highly recommended if you need a refresher on the many layers of psychological torment the show has inflicted on its characters (and viewers).

At this point, Severance is more than just a show—it’s an experience. Season 2 keeps you guessing, keeps you uncomfortable, and makes you side-eye your own employer just a little more than usual. If you loved the first season, you’ll be hooked all over again. And if you haven’t started watching yet, well… lucky you. You get to experience it all for the first time. Just don’t expect to ever look at your office cubicle the same way again.
