This Weekend’s Picks – March 15, 2025

If you’ve noticed that it’s been quiet around here, it’s not just you. I have been super busy and just coming up for a bit of air before diving back in next week. If you’ve watched or read anything good recently, please share it with us!

In the meantime, here’s what I’ll be looking forward to this weekend:

Television

Severance Season 2, Episode 9 – If you’ve been around here before, you likely already know how much I LOVE Severance. And while this season has been getting some mixed reviews, I’m still a fan and I still get super excited about diving in on Friday night.

The White Lotus – I have loved previous seasons of this show and, while it’s amusing, this season isn’t drawing me in quite as much. But, knowing this show it’ll take just one moment of drama before I’m fully into it.

The Righteous Gemstones – The first episode of this final season premiered last week and I’m glad I had a heads up that it was going to be a bit different. Even still, I thought it provided some back story that I’m sure will come into play. Fingers crossed we’ll see plenty of Baby Billy in the coming episodes!

Books

Part of Your World by Abby Jimenez – This book released several years ago, so I am in no way on the forefront of sharing by thoughts, but wanted something lighter after having to give up on another that I had gotten my hopes up about. So far it’s a Hallmark movie in book form and just the levity I needed during a super busy week.

Movies

Mickey 17 – Since I typically watch movies in theaters on a 1 week delay, that means this week it’s time for Mickey 17. To be honest, this movie probably wouldn’t have been something I’d typically be drawn to but since it’s the same director as Parasite (which is a top movie of all time, in my opinion) I’ll be watching anyway. I’ve heard it’s not as good, but still worth the watch.

What are you looking forward to this weekend? Let us know!
